Hi Katrien.
Unfortunately the answer is Yes, you must open that emails as often as possible. In fact this is all about safelists: members must read received messages.
If you will not read your received messages how can you expect from other members to read yours?
Essential to safelists is this mutual agreement to read received messages. You are a client for other members and they are your clients.
If this agreement is not respected then that safelist is useless. Why send messages that nobody reads it?
Therefore I suggest you to always use just credit based safelists.
You can use Traffic Zipper or other tools that offer you a better control to your safelists accounts, but you always earn your credits by reading your emails (one of them, it is impossible to read them all, of course).
Only this way the safelists system will work for everybody.

Hello,I'm looking for a salfiest submitter. I found your blog. I like Trappic Zipper. One thing I don't understand. I signed up for several free salfiest and to get email credits I have to open about 600 e-mails every day, watch them for 10, 20 or 30 seconds. This is almost impossible after a fulltime job. What happens with Trappic Zipper? Do I still have to open all e-mails to get credits?Sorry if my English is poor, as I'm living in Belgium, I don't speak often English.I'm curious about your answer. Thanks, Katrien

Hi Everett.

Yes, I can say I "believe in them". The right answer is I know that are effective if you use them in a proper way. To answer you more accurately I must know what means sign ups for you. If you intend to use the safelists for direct selling then ... don't!
Don't direct your prospects to a sell page using safelists because usually don't work. Instead redirect them to a page used for give some really valuable for free using an opt-in form. You also can send your prospects to a membership site that offer something for free (membership, e-books, video tutorials, etc.) that are valuable for your prospects.
Think who are your prospects first. They are newbie or medium experienced Internet Marketers looking for a good opportunity to make money online.
Sometimes you will find said that IM are just about numbers. This mean that if you will send enough ads to your prospects you will finally have a sell. Of course, the truth is more nuanced and a lot of other things are very important.
If you will be able to send tens of thousands of emails daily this will bring several free sign ups weekly and maybe one paid sign-up. Of course you must use responsive safelists. I recommend you to study the SafelistRankings.com to find really good safelists. I use 25-30 safelists everyday and all are ranked on this site on the first or the second page. I strongly recommend you the EliteSafelist, GlobalSafelist, Supremelist and EffectiveSafelist.
But it is imperative to always track your email campaigns to find which safelist are the best for your products.

Hello!
I am using several safelists and they are not given me results. Sometimes, I send out about 20,000 emails. The owner of The 10K Challenge tells me that in order to see sign ups using safelists I need to mail 100,000 daily. Is this true? Also, one problem with safelists is that some of them give me adware. So, to advertise The 10K Challenge which safelists do you recommend? The 10K has given a list but I see no results. Some of the safelists she recommends are as follows: List Building Maximer, Ad Troopers, Global Safelist, Active Safelists, Got safelist and Safelist XL. So, what is the best advice you give to succeed using safelists? Should I start emailing 50,000 daily and should that bring me at least 5 signups a week working Monday through Friday. Obviously, if you own one of them you must be a believer in them.

Dave, thanks for your reply.

Yes, I was shocked too by Mr. Knight message but in the meanwhile I found that it is a widespread opinion. I don't know why, I suppose it is a reminiscent of the time before credit based safelists. It is hard now to change the beliefs of these people as long as they stay away by safelists how much can.

Congratulation, you had a very nice start.

Hi Adrian! I am also a safelist owner, and I consider it one of the finest business models online. Therefore, many thanks for your most interesting and thought-provoking post. I too was shocked to read what Mr Christopher Knight had to say about safelists. I just wish he could read some of the nice comments I have received by email from some of my safelist members! Like you, I keep in personal contact with my members, and I listen to what they have to say. We are recognised as the Friendly Safelist (same as yours :) and this approach has brought us nearly 178 members in our first three months - we launched in July 2011. And HTML-enabled safelists like ours provide an unpexpected benefit too - for me, that was how I began learning HTML, using the WYSIWYG editor!

With my best wishes and thanks for everything,
Dave (Safelist Admin at http://TheSignalCode.com )

Baidu? This Baidu? Wow! I never think I will be visible there.

To be honest I really don't understand your post. What theme from my website are interesting you? And what website: this blog or the parent domain, the safelist?

By the way, what connections exist between Baidu (a Chinese search engine) and bet365 (a gambling company)? Strange world!
